I remember soundly the astonishment of analytics then: usually, the dollar grows along with some of American markets, as investors buy dollars to invest herein. However in this case, all markets fall over, and the dollar grows! What a wonderwork!
Apparently, the Paulson’s reasoning appeared to be more convincing, the dollars started to be bought by Central Banks of major states of the world, and it started to grow.
